<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station, a wireless communication system, a method of controlling a base station, a wireless communication method, a computer program, and a mobile station, which are capable of suppressing power consumption in the base station and avoiding radio wave interference between the base stations. <P>SOLUTION: A base station has a communication means for communicating with a mobile station, and a changing means that changes a state of the base station depending on a predetermined condition. The changing means transits the state of the base station among an active state where communication with the mobile station is possible, a radio wave transmission and reception stopped state where communication with the mobile station is not carried out, and a radio wave reception measuring state where a transmission signal from the mobile station to the other base station is received to measure the reception condition of the transmission signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
