PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a molded body usable for a heat insulating material for building in a foam-molded body by foaming a vegetable material as a main raw material by vapor pressure. SOLUTION: The method includes extruding a mixture of paper, starch and a polyolefin-based resin as the main raw material from a die device attached to an extrusion opening of an extruder and having many holes, simultaneously foaming the mixture to make many strands, making a group of the strands pass through a sizing device to integrate them into the foam molded body while keeping such a proper clearance as not to prevent dissipation of steam, compressing the molded body to 70 to 90% of a size of the opening of the sizing device as a basis by the first compression device, and compressing the molded body to 45 to 65% of the value of the basis by the second compression device. By this it is possible to obtain the foam-molded body having a large thickness and low thermal conductivity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
