<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a viewer's sense of discomfort by avoiding a rapid change in viewpoint upon switching from a present program to a next one. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a broadcast receiving apparatus that receives an arbitrary viewpoint program wherein a viewpoint can be selected and a normal viewpoint program wherein a viewpoint cannot be selected. The broadcast receiving apparatus includes a display image selection unit 105 that displays an image with a viewpoint selected by a viewer for an arbitrary viewpoint program, a program information processing unit 107 that acquires program information on a broadcast program which is being received, and a viewpoint selection control unit 110 that, when detecting a switching between an arbitrary viewpoint program and a normal viewpoint program based on the program information, continuously changes a viewpoint between the viewpoint selected for the arbitrary viewpoint program and an original viewpoint of the normal viewpoint program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
