<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ALC circuit for securely preventing excessive input to an amplifying circuit with a simple configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ALC circuit includes a first attenuator which attenuates an input RF signal according to a first control signal, a first control unit which generates and supplies the first control signal increasing stepwise in the timing of a supplied transmission signal to the first attenuator, a second attenuator which attenuates the RF signal attenuated by the first attenuator according to a second control signal, and a second control unit which generates and supplies a second control signal increasing stepwise according to the RF signal attenuated by the second attenuator to the second attenuator.
