LIQUID CRYSTALLINE COMPOSITION, LIQUID CRYSTAL FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline composition giving a liquid crystal film having a high liquid crystal alignment holding ability under high temperature and high humidity conditions; a liquid crystal film made of the same; and a liquid crystal display element including an optical film made of the film.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline composition includes a cationically polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a liquid crystalline compound having an oxetane group, and a dioxetane compound, wherein the cationically polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond is preferably a compound having a vinyl ether group, and the liquid crystalline compound having an oxetane group is a main chain-type or side chain-type polymeric liquid crystal compound. The liquid crystal film made of the composition is also provided.
