PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine capable of effectively improving energy efficiency thereof, by making a uniform tensile strength act on a stator core. SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine has an annular stator core 3, formed by laminating a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates 20 in the rotor shaft direction, and case members 1, 2 for holding the stator core 3. The rotating electric machine includes a press-inserting member 4, having a round substrate 15 with a rotor shaft inserting hole 17 formed thereon, and an edge portion 16, set so as to extend in the rotor shaft direction along the inner circumferential surface of the yoke portion from the outer circumferential portion of the substrate, wherein the edge portion 16 of the press-inserting member 4 is press-inserted from the inside of a radial direction to the yoke portion 6 of the stator core 3.
