<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for calculating a position by using a Doppler frequency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A position and a moving velocity of each of a plurality of GPS satellites are calculated on the basis of satellite orbit information on a spherical coordinate system with an origin at the global center. GPS satellite signals are received from the plurality of GPS satellites so as to detect a Doppler frequency. By setting a distance from the global center to the earth's surface to be a moving radius, a position, a moving velocity and a moving direction of a user are calculated on the spherical coordinate system by using the respective positions and moving velocities of the plurality of GPS satellites and the Doppler frequency.
