<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology effective to grasp chemical information about the residual quantity of a solid chemical in water treatment equipment for treating water to be treated using the chemical. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the water treatment equipment, a sensor unit 140 for detecting the chemical information about the residual quantity of the solid chemical is constituted so that a movable member 143 is pulled through a string member 148 by the dead weight action of a weight member 147 to be moved to a switch working position and when switched on, a switch mechanism outputs that the residual quantity of the solid chemical reaches a fixed value.
