PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling a moving relay station in a wireless communication system are provided to flexibly control the operating mode of the mobile repeater in order to improve the service quality of a terminal which is controlled by a mobile repeater and the terminal which is directly received by a base station. CONSTITUTION: A mobile repeater position information receiver(801) receives position information of the mobile repeater form the mobile repeater, and a traffic map storage unit(803) stores a traffic map including interference anticipation region information of a cell coverage of a base station. If the position of the mobile repeater is included in the reference anticipation region, the control unit converts the mobile repeater in an off mode.
