<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate cumbersome operations such as registration or deletion of authentication information carried out by a manager. <P>SOLUTION: A complex machine 100 transmits a card ID read from an IC card to an IC card authentication server 200 and acquires an authentication result. If the authentication result shows success of the authentication, use of the complex machine 100 is permitted. If the authentication result shows failure of the authentication, and a query is made from the IC card authentication server 200 as to whether or not the card ID is to be registered, the complex machine sends a user name input from an operation part to the IC card authentication server 200, associates the user name with the card ID of which authentication has failed, and registers them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
