The member has a balance (2) and a hairspring (3) forming a balance-spiral assembly (1). The balance is machined using a micro-fabrication process i.e. deep reactive-ion etching process, to allow a machining dimensional tolerance in the order of microns. The assembly does not include an adjusting element. The balance is rigidly mounted in an arbor (6), and includes a felloe (4) and radial arms (5) that are produced from a same material of the felloe. The balance is machined in a single diamond based material. The assembly has precision in the order of plus or minus 30 s/j. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a regulating member of timepiece.
