PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fig mating with which a fig bears fruits having a desired flavor. SOLUTION: In the method for fig mating in pollination of a pistil of a fruit of female variety, a plant growth regulator containing giberellin being a plant hormone is applied to a fruit of female variety, the stamen of the fruit of female variety is grown, the pollen of the stamen is pollinated with the pistil of a fruit of the same or different female variety. Consequently, the stamen of a fruit of female variety clearly having a desired flavor evaluation is mated with the pistil of a fruit of the same or different female variety.
