<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve white fogging on transfer material even when using glossy paper and even in a recent image forming apparatus in which transfer efficiency is enhanced by decreasing toner fogging on a photoreceptor due to weakly electrified toner or inverted toner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; a developing means for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier with toner; a transfer means for transferring a toner image developed by the developing means to transfer material; and a conductive member provided to be opposed to the image carrier on a downstream side of the developing means in a rotating direction of the image carrier and on an upstream side of the transfer means in the rotating direction of the image carrier, and electrically attracting toner having a reverse polarity to the toner on the image carrier by application of voltage having the same polarity as an electrifying polarity of the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
