<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbocharger, capable of suppressing loss of exhaust gas flowing over a wall surface of a turbine housing by ensuring a satisfactory surface roughness, with respect to the turbine housing, while attaining reduction in deformation amount by thermal deformation, improvement in fatigue life, and reduction in cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the turbocharger 1 having the turbine housing 6 which forms an exhaust gas passage 8 for guiding exhaust gas to a turbine wheel 2, the turbine housing 6 includes a shell 7 composed of a plate-like member and an annular base 20 forming the exhaust gas passage 8 with the shell 7 and reinforcing the shell 7. The annular base 20 includes a pair of annular parts 21 and 22 having a substantially annular shape, and provided around a rotation axis C while being spaced in the axial direction of a rotary shaft 3, and a connection part 23 connecting the annular parts 21 and 22 to each other. The pair of annular parts 21 and 22 and the connection part 23 are components integrally molded by plastic processing to the plate-like member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
