PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which can meet the demand for a smaller diameter of a photoreceptor, and a process at a high peripheral speed associated with miniaturization and speed-up of an image forming apparatus, and which is excellent in light resistance. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a charge generating layer 202 and a charge transporting layer 203 over a substrate 201, wherein the charge transporting layer contains a predetermined triphenylamine bisstyryl compound as a charge transporting material and an additive represented by a general formula (II).
