<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, capable of supplying an appropriate quantity of fuel to the internal combustion engine by accurately estimating fuel pressure while attaining reduction in size and cost. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel supply device 1, 51 includes: a fuel pump 12 connected to a fuel injection valve 11 to force feed fuel in a fuel tank 31 to the injection valve 11; and a recirculation mechanism 13, 61 for recirculating part of the fuel discharged from the fuel pump 12 to the fuel tank 31. The flow rate of the fuel recirculated to the fuel tank 31 through the recirculation mechanism 13, 61 is detected as a return flow rate QRTN (step 4), the pressure of the fuel supplied to the fuel injection valve 11 is estimated based on the detected return flow rate QRTN (step 5), and the injection operation of the fuel injection valve 11 is controlled according to the estimated fuel pressure HPF (step 7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
