<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded type mounting device by which a luminaire can be mounted rapidly and easily on an opening of a ceiling plate. <P>SOLUTION: The embedded type mounting device 1 includes a support body 5 with an edge member 21 arranged on a lower end, a swing arm 11 by which a tip end 51 is swung in a direction for coming close to the edge member 21, an energizing means for generating force for swinging the swing arm 11, a holding means for restricting the swing of the swing arm 11, and a trigger 15 for releasing the swing arm 11 from restriction of the holding means in response to contact with the ceiling plate 17. In a process where the support body 5 is inserted in an opening 19 of the ceiling plate 17, the trigger 15 is in contact with the ceiling plate 17 and the swing arm 11 swings.
