摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information on immortalization inhibitory genes and information on functions of proteins encoded thereby, prepared through identification of the complete length cDNA of the immortalization inhibitory genes.

SOLUTION: The genes reduced or disappeared in expression in immortalized cells involving cancer cells are isolated, the DNA sequences thereof are determined, further, cell proliferation inhibitory proteins are produced by expressing the genes, and the genes and the proteins are utilized as agents for diagnostics or treatment, including the genetic diagnosis or the gene therapy of diseases such as cancer.
