COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a communication terminal user to perform short-range communication with a specific communication terminal without requiring the user to determine whether connection is permitted. SOLUTION: The communication terminal includes: an azimuth sensor 108 for detecting azimuth information of the terminal's own; a short-range communication unit 131 for performing wireless short-range communication between the terminal itself and an opposite-side communication terminal; and a memory 105 for storing the azimuth information of the terminal's own detected by the azimuth sensor 108 and azimuth information of the opposite-side communication terminal obtained by the short-range communication unit 131. The communication terminal further includes a control unit 120 which uses the azimuth information of the terminal's own and the azimuth information of the opposite-side communication terminal recorded in the memory 105 to determine the opposite-side communication terminal located in a predetermined azimuth with respect to a posture of the terminal's own as a terminal for which wireless short-range communication connection is permitted.
