<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor without causing temperature detecting inconvenience by vibration of the compressor, by installing a temperature detecting sensor in a sealed vessel in a single operation by press-in. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sensor installing groove 7 bent and recessed inside the sealed vessel 2 in response to an external shape of the temperature detecting sensor 6, is formed in a part opposed to an electric motor part by the metallic sealed vessel 2 incorporated with the electric motor part 3 and a compression mechanism part 4 driven by the electric motor part, and the temperature detecting sensor 6 is pressed and installed in its sensor installing groove 7 by tight fit.
