PURPOSE: A water soluble peptide of desmoglein I protein is provided to use as a marker for evaluating treatment or anti-aging ingredients. CONSTITUTION: A complexed or non-complexed water soluble peptide is derived from a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence encoded by nucleic acid sequence of sequence number 1. The peptide is used as a tool for selecting active ingredient for treating or preventing skin aging.
