<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely sit in a chair and stand up from the chair at ease without putting burdens on the lower body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the chair whose seat surface 11 is turned forward by a spring 14a, the raised state of a backrest 13 is maintained at all times by a linking mechanism including a freely turnably connected armrest 12 and the seat surface 11, even while the seat surface 11 is turned, and the lower back and the back of a user can be put on the backrest 13 during movement when sitting on the chair and when standing up from the chair.
