PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide film which has high moisture permeability and high alcohol permeability, is excellent in mechanical strength and dimensional stability, and used for packaging food, medical supplies, industrial materials, etc. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polyamide film with excellent moisture permeability or alcohol permeability has a tensile strength in both MD and TD of at least 1.8×10<SP>3</SP>kgf/cm<SP>2</SP>, a coefficient of moisture permeability of at least 5,000 gμm/m<SP>2</SP>24 hr (40°C), an ethanol permeability of at least 6,000 gμm/m<SP>2</SP>24 hr (50%RH/40°C), and a thickness of 25μm or below, by being subjected to heat fixing in a short time.
