PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine packing machine and a control unit therefor, capable of efficiently preparing divided powder even if a medicine is prescribed for one person but the prescription includes different quantities for one dose of the medicine. SOLUTION: The medicine packing machine includes: a powdered medicine dividing and packing data extracting means that extracts dividing and packing data, out of inputted prescription data for respective patients, that is, the data of a powdered medicine as prescribed for one patient but the prescription including dividing and packing data for differently divided quantities for one dose; a dividing range changing means 20 that causes dividing ranges on a rotating table to be altered, based on the respective differently divided quantities out of the extracted dividing and packing data; and a powdered medicine dividing and packing means 18 that, based on the dividing ranges set forth, respectively divides the powered medicine into different quantities respectively on the same rotating table for packing into divided powder wrapping papers, while the dividing range changing means sets dividing ranges based on an alternate powder dividing and packing process wherein the powdered medicine in accordance with the dividing and packing data is packed in a sequence in which the medicine is taken by a patient.
