The rabbet (1) has two sheets (5, 6) superimposed for supporting a sealing joint. Total thickness of a zone is less than the thickness in a remaining zone of the rabbet. One of the sheets of the rabbet comprises a hollow space (10) and projections (11) that are pressed into the sheet in an alternating manner for increasing the total thickness of the rabbet in the zone. The hollow space and the projections have shape of slots that extend in the direction of width of the rabbet. The projections are in contact with other sheet of the rabbet. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having a case with a frame.
