PURPOSE: A cooling and heating apparatus mounted on an air conditioner is provided to convert a cooling apparatus into a heating apparatus and to reduce heating expense. CONSTITUTION: A cooling and heating apparatus mounted on an air-conditioner comprise a compressor(10), a 4-way valve(20) which change the flow path of refrigerant with being connected to the compressor, an indoor heat exchanger(30), a first expansion pipe(40a) which expands refrigerant into a low temperature and a low pressure with being connected to the indoor heat exchanger, a heat exchange rod(40b) which absorbs the residual heat of the refrigerant with being connected to the first expansion pipe, an outdoor heat exchanger(60), a check valve(70) which controls the refrigerant flow so that the refrigerant which is flown from the heat exchange rod can be flown to the outdoor heat exchanger only through a second expansion pipe, a first distributing pipe(70a) which diverges the refrigerant with being connected to the outdoor heat exchanger through the 4-way valve, a refrigerant heater(80) which heats the refrigerant flowing in through the first distributing pipe, a remaining heat exchanger(50) which collects the heat of the heat exchange rod by heat-exchanging, and a second distributing pipe(70b) which flows refrigerant to the compressor with being connected with the refrigerant heater and the remaining heat exchanger.
