PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rationally designing a reinforcement supporting base for supporting a reinforcement in work for arranging a foundation reinforcement etc. in a reinforced concrete structure, and the reinforcement supporting base obtained by the method. SOLUTION: This reinforcement supporting base 10 includes an upper support 11 which is composed of a deformed reinforcement, and a lower support 12 which is composed of an angle bar. The material, specification, length, etc. of each support are selected so that the ratio of buckling strength of the upper support 11 to that of the lower support 12 can fall within a range of 0.85-1.79. Thus, when the load exceeding the maximum load is applied, the upper and lower supports 11 and 12 are integrated so as to buckle together in a wholly curved shape without generating a local buckling. This enables the performance of each support to be utilized to the utmost, and enables design with less waste. Additionally, duplication of applicable range among the kinds, whose height applicable range are adjacent to each other, is reduced so as to have a fewer assortment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
