<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively carry out, e.g. a video recording to a recording medium unit or a video playback from the recording medium unit, in a video recorder of which the recording medium for recording the video is detachable/attachable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the video recorder 21 of which the recording medium 1 for recording the video is detachable/attachable, the recording medium 1 has a function of connecting with a network and a function of outputting the recorded video through the connected network. Further, the recorder is configured such that the write-in and read-out of the video are possible in a state that the recording medium 1 is stored in a body 2 of the video recorder, whereas the read-out only of the recorded video is possible in a state that the recording medium 1 is taken out from the body 2 of the video recorder and connected with the network.
