PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator improving usability by directly informing a user of effects and performance by operation of a function to improve a storage state of food. SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes a storage box 170 forming a storage compartment for storing food, a door 111 for opening/closing the storage box 170 and a functional device 200 for improving the storage state of the food stored within the storage compartment. The refrigerator further includes an informing means 400 for informing a user of the effects and performance on the food by the functional device 200. By directly informing the user of effects and performance by operation of the function to improve the storage state of the food, the user can easily use the function to improve the storage state, so as to further improve the usability by the user.
