<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a spectrum of a dyeing sample accurately without preparing beforehand a teacher data table wherein a dyeing state is assumed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A spectrum estimation part 142 estimates as a first spectrum, a spectrum (spectral transmittance) at a sample point on an object sample image corresponding to an estimation object pixel constituting the object sample image, by using standard teacher data 154 which are teacher data prepared beforehand. An adaptive teacher data generation part 143 generates adaptive teacher data based on the first spectrum. The spectrum estimation part 142 estimates as a second spectrum, a spectrum at the sample point on the object sample image corresponding to the estimation object pixel, by using the adaptive teacher data.
