<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating multimedia files transmitted by packets of the same size via a peer-to-peer network. <P>SOLUTION: Each of these multimedia files is obtained from intermediary files. The intermediary files have each (a) a content (10), which is common to the intermediary files and made up of primary data, and (b) contents (16, 18, 20, 22), which are respective intermediary file-specific and made up of secondary data introduced into insertion zones (12, 14) partitioned by the primary data of the common content 10.
