Hydrocarbon-rich fraction liquification involves cooling hydrocarbon-rich fraction, where the cooled hydrocarbon-rich fraction is liquefied against a coolant mixture. The coolant mixture is consolidated in two stages and then separated into intermediate phase and a refrigerant mixture (3). The separated intermediate pressure refrigerant-mixture-condensate (7) is supercooled (E), expanded and added to the expanded refrigerant mixture.
