<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor suction nozzle which makes it easy to confirm a situation even in a dark place since an illumination portion is provided, easily sucks dust against a wall, and is capable of effectively protect the cover of the illumination portion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The floor suction nozzle 1 has a suction port 15 on the bottom surface of a body case 10. Inside the body case 10, a rotary brush 16 rotated by a drive source is disposed in the form of facing the suction port 15. On the upper surface of the body case 10, the illumination portion 21 for illuminating the front is provided. The suction port 15 is extended to the front surface of the body case 10 and forms a front surface suction port 17. The rotary brush 16 also faces the front surface suction port 17. The suction port 17 is provided with a flip top shutter 18 for closing it. The shutter 18 is displaced to a position for protecting the illumination portion 21 from an obstacle in front thereof, when changing an angle so as to open the front surface suction port 17.
