<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of adequately controlling additional friction torque according to the drive posture of a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The power steering device is favorably used to set the additional friction torque imparted to the steering based on an actual steering angle and a target steering angle, and perform the control of imparting the additional friction torque. An additional friction torque changing means changes the additional friction torque based on the drive posture of a driver determined by a drive posture determining means.
