DETOXIFICATION TREATMENT METHOD OF ASBESTOS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detoxification treatment method of asbestos capable of detoxificating the asbestos with high yield even when asbestos-containing matter is treated while it is held by a holder in carrying out the detoxification treatment of the asbestos by heating the asbestos-containing matter using microwave. SOLUTION: The asbestos-containing matter 1 is fed in a heating furnace 2 and is heated so that the asbestos in the asbestos-containing matter 1 is modified and detoxicated. The heating furnace 2 for heating the asbestos-containing matter 1 by irradiating the microwave to it is used as the heating furnace 2. The asbestos-containing matter 1 is fed to the inside of the heating furnace 2 while it is held by the holder 3 having a heating rate to the modification temperature of the asbestos in receiving the irradiation of the microwave that is equal or more than that of the asbestos-containing matter 1, which results in the improvement in the heating efficiency of the asbestos.
