<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compatibly achieve atomization of fuel particle diameters and controllability of injection direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A divergent injection hole 11 is arranged toward a downstream outside, and a relation of a distance x between the farthest part from an axis of an upstream side end surface of the injection hole 11 and the nearest part from an axis of a downstream side end surface, and a length L of an axis sidewall surface of the injection hole 11 is defined as x/L<0.05. According to tests done by inventors, it is found that injection angle θ1s of fuel approaches angle θ1 of an axis sidewall surface of the injection hole 11 and gets to injection angle θ1s near desired injection angle θ1 when a value of x/L is set to 0.05 or smaller. Based on the test result, the injection angle θ1s can be set closer to the angle θ1 of the axis sidewall surface of the injection hole 11, and combustion efficiency of the injected fuel is improved by constructing a nozzle to satisfy the relation x/L<0.05. Namely, since controllability of injection direction is secured by the injection hole 11 atomizing liquid fuel, atomization and controllability are compatibly achieved.
