<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a secondary battery, which eliminates the need for a conductive material and binding agent and which can achieve a higher energy density, and to provide a secondary battery using the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes: a positive electrode 10 which has ferrate (VI) consisting Li<SB>2</SB>FeO<SB>4</SB>or BaFeO<SB>4</SB>as a positive electrode active material on a pure iron plate; a negative electrode 11 in which a copper foil 11b is covered by a graphite 11a having Li ion held between layers; and an ionic conductivity electrolyte 12 which is disposed between the positive electrode 10 and the negative electrode 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
