PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting device capable of suppressing reduction of separating capacity of pollutants while allowing an opening to be hardly closed by the pollutants. SOLUTION: The setting device includes: a plurality of partition wall members 51 arranged at an interval; pipe members 52 arranged between the respective partition wall members 51 in the extending direction of the partition wall member 51 at an almost specified interval and are arranged plurally in an inclined state in an array direction to form a plurality of inclined flow passages 53, 53b. In the setting device, the pipe members 52 are inclined at a set angle in the array direction and are arranged in a sedimentation pond, and the setting of the pollutants contained in water flowing in the sedimentation pond is received by an inclined bottom surface 52a to be an upper surface of a partition member so that setting is promoted. In an opening 54 above the inclined flow passage 53 formed by being surrounded by the partition wall member 51 and the pipe member 52, the ratio of a long side dimension b in a dimension orthogonal to a direction along the partition wall member 51 to a short side dimension a in the dimension along the partition wall member 51 is set to be within a range of 1.65-4.0.
