<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin and miniaturize a planar hinge device for longitudinally rotating a mobile terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fixed plate 1 of a planar hinge device is pored for housing a main part of a spring 3 and a spring body is housed. A distal end of a fixed side arm of the spring 3 is held by a fixing pin 11 of the fixed plate 1. A distal end of a driving side arm of the spring 3 is engaged to a driving pin 21 of a rotary plate 2. The fixed plate 1 is fixed to a first case of a mobile terminal, and the rotary plate 2 is fixed to a second case. The rotary plate 2 is movable while being rotated inside a plane by being guided by two guide grooves of the fixed plate 1.
