<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trap for imparting electric shocks to insects, which can keep an insect-killing ability and can simultaneously lower an electric voltage necessary for the electric shocks between anodes and cathodes to reduce the sounds of the electric shocks. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This insect trap includes a plurality of electrode portions 3. The anode 33 and the cathode 34 of each electrode portion 3 are alternately arranged, have approximately needle shapes directed in approximately the same direction, and are disposed so as to approach each other with the advance of from a root portion 36 to a tip end 37. Since the distance between the tip ends 37 of a pair of the anode 33 and the cathode 34 is reduced, electric voltage necessary for electric shock insecticide can be lowered. Hence, the sound of electric shock can be reduced. When an insect is larger than the distance between the tip ends 37 of the anode 33 and the cathode 34 placed at both ends of a plurality of pairs, the insect can be electrically shocked by the plurality of pairs.
