<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of suppressing looseness in the circumferential direction and firmly and easily connecting a hub ring with an outer ring of a constant velocity universal joint. <P>SOLUTION: A convex part 35 extending to the axial direction is provided on the axle part 12 of an outside joint outer ring 5, and the axle part 12 is press-fitted into a hole 22 of the hub ring 1. A concave part 36 closely contacting to the convex part 35 is formed on the inside diameter surface of the hub ring 1 with the convex part 35 by this press-fitting to constitute a concavo-convex mating structure M in which the convex part 35 and the concave part 36 are in close contact on the entire fitting region. Furthermore, an outboard side end part of the axle part 12 of the joint outer ring 5 is plastically deformed to the diameter expanding direction by using a forming jig 67 to form a pull-off preventing structure M1 for restricting pull-off of the axle part 12, and the tip end surface of plastically deformed portion is made to be a surface which is not formed to the forming jig 67. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
