PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin suitable for use in a nonwoven fabric, a film, a sealant, an industrial material, transparent injection, a block polymer, an alloy, a modifying material, or the like and specifically, broadly available for applications, such as sanitary materials, civil engineering materials, automobile materials, home electric appliances, food containers, packaging materials, or miscellaneous goods. SOLUTION: The polyolefin contains a repeating unit (U<SB>1</SB>) derived from oneα-olefin selected from a 3-8Cα-olefin and optionally a repeating unit (U<SB>2</SB>), other than the repeating unit (U<SB>1</SB>), derived from at least one olefin selected from a 2-20Cα-olefin, wherein (i) both 2, 1-insertion and 1, 3-insertion are 0.2% or less, (ii) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) obtained by gel permeation chromatography is 1-3, and (iii) an amount of dissolvable component in decane is 2 wt.% or less.
