<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly battery service system and method in which a mounted battery mounted on an electric vehicle is managed by a battery providing side and speedy charging is performed by providing a charged battery when a user needs it. <P>SOLUTION: The battery service system 100 includes: a battery remaining amount meter 10 for measuring a remaining amount of a mounted battery of the electrically driven vehicle; a communication apparatus 20 for transmitting to a battery service device 30 battery identification information for identifying the remaining amount of the mounted battery obtained from the battery remaining amount meter 10 and the mounted battery; and the battery service device 30 for acquiring and outputting user information necessary for providing a user possessing the mounted battery with a charged battery on the basis of the battery identification information received from the communication apparatus 20 when the remaining amount of the mounted battery received from the communication apparatus 20 is equal to or smaller than a prescribed value.
