METHOD FOR SUPPORTING THE FAST RANGING ON HANDOVER

PURPOSE: A supply method for high-speed ranging in a hand over is provided to reduce waiting time of a ranging process by assigning the fast ranging IE in the terminal based on handover decision timing. CONSTITUTION: A serving base station(Serving BS) and a target base target BS(Base Station) transmit and receive a HO Req(HandOver Request) message and a HO Rsp(HandOver Response) message(S115). The serving base station transfers a set action time to a MS(Mobile Station) and a target base station(S125). The serving base station assigns a upward link resources UL(UpLink) resources to the terminal(S130). The target base station re-produces the action time(S135,S140). The target base station transmits a Fast Raging IE to the terminal based on a reproduced action time(S145).
