The packer (1) has two oval-shaped base bodies (3a, 3b) arranged at a distance to each other on a longitudinal axis of the packer. The bodies surround a hollow cylindrical sleeve (4). The sleeve is made of highly elastic material with ultimate elongation of 200 percentage. The sleeve includes textile reinforcements (6a, 6b) in edge areas (5a, 5b), respectively, where the reinforcements lie on the bodies. The bodies are connected together by a traction mechanism i.e. rope. The reinforcements are designed as fabric linings. Each body exhibits an oval-shaped cross-section.
