PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preparing a plate for a specimen that accumulates much specimen relevant information without placing a burden on a worker and prepares a specimen plate allowing the worker to visually recognize the specimen information. SOLUTION: This apparatus for preparing the plate for the specimen for printing the specimen relevant information on the plate for the specimen includes a specimen preparing region where a specimen for an analyte is prepared and an information display region for displaying the specimen relevant information. A two-dimensional bar code including at least a patient name and analyte number as the specimen relevant information, the text of the patient name, and the text of the analyte number are printed on the information display region of the plate for the specimen.
