DISPLAY MODULE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the using efficiency of illumination light obtained from an LED element.

SOLUTION: A display module 10 includes a liquid crystal display panel 20 and a surface light source 30 for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel 20. The surface light source 30 includes a plurality of LED elements 31 arranged on the plane facing the rear surface of the liquid crystal display panel 20, and the polarization axis of a plurality of the LED elements 31 is aligned in the direction matching with the polarization axis on the rear surface side of the liquid crystal display panel 20.
