The method involves transferring material sheets (200) to a grooving and trimming unit (13) for forming blanks (206a, 206b), and transferring the blanks. Grooving of the blanks and trimming of edges (205) of the blanks are performed in the grooving and trimming unit, where the fluting of the blanks is aligned parallel to the feed direction. The material sheets are aligned before transfer of the blanks to the grooving and trimming unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out a method for manufacturing laminated blanks from single or multi-layered corrugated cardboard for forming a folding box.
