METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TOOL CHANGE IN ATC OF MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: A tool exchange control method at ATC for a machine tool is provided to secure the smooth driving and to reduce the impact and noise in an exchanging process. CONSTITUTION: A tool exchange control method at ATC for a machine tool is as follows. The servo motor is rotated to at normal velocity(S600). The phase angle of a cam follower gets a tool pick-up or the insertion point angle or insertion time of the ATC arms at the designated angle. The speed of rotation of the servo motor diminishes to the speed lower than the steady rate(S700).
