<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic blood pressure meter which allows confirmation whether there is an air leakage and whether a portion has the air leakage. <P>SOLUTION: In an electronic blood pressure meter 1, a CPU 40 causes operation for an air leakage test to be performed when a predetermined operation is made at an operating section 3. The CPU 40 uses a pump 21 to force air into a closed space in an arm band 5, the closed space comprising air pipes 10A and 10B, until the closed space reaches a predetermined pressure. Then, the closed space is maintained closed for a predetermined time period and monitors a drop in pressure in the predetermined time period using a pressure sensor 23. When the pressure drops by an amount equal to or more than an allowable value, it is determined that there is an air leakage in the closed space comprising the airbag 5 and the air pipes 10A and 10B. Likewise, a closed space comprising the air pipe 10B is caused to be tested. According to both the test results, the CPU 40 determines whether or not there is an air leakage and whether the portion having the air leakage is in the space comprising the arm band 5 and the air pipes 10A or in the space comprising the air pipe 10B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
